I started playing with computers at the early age of 10 and spent most of my childhood years running “Mustang” message boards out of my home, hacking into any modem I could connect to. I also started programming applications using FORTRAN, PASCAL, and Clipper. I have worked in the Information Technology industry since 1989, where I started out as the President/CEO of a small Information Technology and Communications company that provided legacy communications systems for naval ships being built near my birthplace Mobile, Alabama. After selling my company I helped start an IVR and automated messaging company by providing programming, technical training, and customer training. I spent three years travelling North America, racking up over one million miles of flying before being asked to become the Director of Information Technology for a software company that provided proprietary printing applications to over 4000 retailers. While there I spent over six months working in Bentonville, AR with the world’s largest retailer Wal-Mart. I pioneered an automated LINUX label printing application that was used at 3,000 locations worldwide. In 2000 I moved to the Atlanta area and had the opportunity to direct the Information Technology department at the largest family owned nursery in the United States, Pike Family Nurseries. After the company was sold in 2005, I quickly found my way into the automotive retail industry by becoming the Director of Information Technology at one of the largest automotive dealership groups in the Southeast. I was able to create relationships with the Reynolds and Reynolds Company that placed me as the lead Alpha and Beta tester for emerging technology in the automotive Industry worldwide.

I live in the beautiful Jasper, “The First Mountain City”, in the North Georgia Mountains with my lovely wife Christie and four wonderful boys, Christian, Cameron, Grey and Ian. I am active in several associations and volunteer groups and serve as Secretary on the HRFC board as well as donate web development for the JES PTO and PCMS PTO.

I love spending time with my family, mountain biking, playing “Disc Golf” and “Stick Golf” when I get the time and of course “playing with computers”.
